Social clubs and nightclubs can be exciting places to meet those of the opposite sex. There is a lot going on in these clubs and they are open late at night. They provide; food, drinks, dance and music. There is usually a good crowd, especially in weekends. These are very popular places to go out and meet people.

However there are some things to bear in mind when you go to these places to socialize. Not everyone you meet at these places will be interested in having a serious relationship. Many of the people will be outright "players". They are just there to meet a person, have casual sex and just move onto the next partner. You will need to be very careful not to get involved with these types of partners, as they will never form good meaningful relationships.

A very dangerous element of nightclubs is the criminal element. This is not a regular occurrence but happens enough to mention. Sometimes people will spike your drink with pills of various sorts and this can lead you into a lot of problems, ranging from drug rape to common theft. Never leave a drink unattended and do not accept drinks from complete strangers.

Be cautious and try not to get intoxicated. You do not want a good time to turn ugly. It does not take much alcohol to impair your judgment. Try not to mix drinks and especially try never to mix them with little "pep pills" and stimulants.

There is of course a reverse side to every coin. Nightclubs can indeed be very enjoyable places to go to. Always try to go with a few friends rather than alone, it is more fun this way and safer. Many of these social clubs are open after work, you can meet other professional people, as they cater to the after work crowd. Drink specials are provided almost every night. They often provide food items and appetizers free to draw in the crowd.

Try to enjoy yourself and do not think about finding someone, right from the start. Be cautious if you meet someone who looks interesting and do not give out your personal contact information too quickly. Above all do not ever leave the club with them alone. There is safety in numbers and not everyone is as good as they may seem.

Make an agreement with your friends that you will all leave the club together, regardless of whether you meet someone or not, and that you will be watching each others backs. This will ensure that you all have a good time and leave safely.

If you find someone try to find out as much as you can before you make a date with him or her. Try to make a date for a safe place like a restaurant. It is quite a good way to get to know someone over a cup of coffee or a lunch. For the first date try to bring a friend along. Let someone know where you are going and the approximate time you will be returning.

Clubs can be great places to socialize and you can meet good people there. However always exercise caution and do not rush into a relationship, just because you are lonely. If you bear in mind these few points you will be able to enjoy yourself and find good friends at cubs. You never know when a friendship may blossom into a deep and lasting relationship.
