Social clubs or nightclubs are popular places to meet people of the opposite sex. Clubs are fun places that offer food, drinks and music. They are busy, crowded places that are open late at night. Weekends are the most crowded time to go although most are open every night of the week.

Some social clubs are open after work and are a good way to meet other professional people in your area. If there is a club close to where you work you may want to try going after work with some friends. Often these clubs cater to the after work crowd by offering drink specials every night. They also sometimes have free appetizers or other food to help draw people in.

This type of club can be a fun place to go with friends. The key is to have fun and don't expect to meet someone. If you do meet someone interesting make sure that you exercise caution when talking with them. Don't give out your personal information too easily and don't leave with them alone.

There are some drawbacks to meeting others through social clubs that you should be aware of. Most of these clubs serve alcohol and this can lead to impaired judgment when you've had more than a couple of drinks.

Before you agree to see someone again, make sure you know as much as you can about them. Even then, be careful about giving out your personal information including your phone number or address. If you want to meet again agree to meet for lunch or coffee and bring a friend along. Always let others know where you are going and when you are coming back.

Try to be realistic when meeting others at a social club. Don't get desperate or talk to someone you wouldn't normally talk to just because you are feeling lonely. Make sure that you make a deal with your friends before you go that you will all leave together. This ensures that you will all look out for each other's well being.

Meeting someone at a social club can be fun and exciting but be sure to be realistic and honest when it comes to forming a relationship. Don't move too quickly with the relationship and take your time to get to know them well. Meeting someone at a club is based more on looks than on what you have in common so these types of relationships may not work out in the long run.
