Forming A Lasting Relationship

Relationships are simple to form but it is in its maintenance, all the toughness lie. Relationships can be personal or professional. You can create relationships for reason, season and for life, depending on your choice, situations, and many other criteria. To clap, you need both hands. Similarly, to create a relationship, you need at least two people. Relationship cannot be forced on someone.

Love, marriage, friendship, relationships by birth and relationships by choice are some of the important relationships one would love to treasure. It has to be voluntarily accepted. What is lasting relationship? The one, which does not fade with time, can be an apt definition for lasting relationship. How to form it? To form a lasting relationship, essential requirements are understanding between each other, belief on each other, respect for each other and the important one, time. You need to spend time with the other person to develop the other essential requirements.

Sometimes, forming a new relationship could be difficult, as it requires lot of adjustments to be made. To form a lasting relationship, sometimes one has to lose something or many things. To build good business, you need to develop good customer base, for which you need to develop a good and lasting relationship. Sometimes, a good sense of humor and true childlike innocence help you form the relationship and make it lasting for years. You don't know when a person falls in love with your talk or smile, or vice-versa. There are many incidents wherein a simple train journey creates a lasting relationship.

When you get into a relationship, initial days would be great as you would not be aware of each other's negatives, or the points that you would not feel comfortable about.

Children are good at relationships and form them very easily. With age, we become choosy, and choose people only if our wavelengths match each other. There are many people like neighbors, friends of our friends, and so on, who may have been acquaintances of each other for more than twenty years or so, but would not mean anything to us. This is mainly because of lack of interest from both sides.

Give and take policy should be cultivated to form a lasting relationship. Reading books cannot help us create lasting relationships. They make us yearn more for them. Relationships start with heart and end with mind. If you create a relationship using your mind, it can be tricky and may not last longer. However, if it is created from heart, relationships can last forever. If you are a person with a humane, caring, loving and kind heart, who is not over-protective or over-possessive, then you become a good partner. With changing times, meaning of relationships change with the changing tastes of people.
